Hi folks. West Yorkshire based photographer here, looking to photograph a couple.

I have all the kit, just looking for a couple.

Would be my first time doing this. Usually do weddings, corporate etc

You’d probably have a better chance if you posted some examples of your work up for folk to see. There’s an awful lot of “keen” photographers in here

Don’t weddings generally involve couples?

People do occasionally ask for someone to take photos for them. It helps if you can give reassurance about the images and where you would use them.

Thank you. All images would belong to the person posing.

"Thank you. All images would belong to the person posing."

There are several things that prevent us allowing other people to photograph us. The main two are that many cameras have some internal storage and some have room for two SD cards. I think others are wary for those reasons too.

You might struggle to get anyone to volunteer because of that.

good luck in your search.

If you are a photographer then some decent pictures of yourself may help.

But you can easily make copies for yourself, so alarm bells are ringing.

There are literally dozens of guys offering this also as others have said the picture of your pants doesn't look like you're a professional photographer

I don't like myself. I'm behind the camera, not in front of it. I would give the card to the couple on the day.

My camera only had room for one compact flash.

Advertising yourself as a “Horny Photographer” won’t help OP, unless of course you’re planning on playing at the shoot?

If we allow someone to watch us and take pics it is with our camera only, then we message them with a few chosen pics that we don't mind being released from our control.

Photographers offering services on here don’t seem to get many positive responses and the site rules don’t allow you to post photos on your profile not of you, or at least you in it with someone. You can’t post links to other sites either so can’t link to portfolios of your work. There are good reasons for these rules to try and combat the fakes and not promote other sites. I shoot portrait to adult levels myself and run separate portfolios to keep the adult away from the vanilla. You might try making your work easy to find in a search in some way through your username and adult images for example. That might work if people are interested enough to search.

This is good and as a photographer would also be happy with this.

I tend to use my camera a their memory card if it’s things they want kept private. This for trust & peice of mind.

Would you edit the shots before they left, or just give them the RAW files to do with what they wish?

as it’s there time they could as they want. No harm in giving them the RAW files.

De

If it’s there card it’s theres to do with as they please. As a photographer under those circumstances, you have to garner trust & a relationship. ??

I take your point, I prefer to edit shots first, but never had a problem with sending shots later once done.

The problem I have with that is that it's a nanosecond to eject the card and take several shots using the camera's internal memory. I'm not saying anyone on this thread would do that but as said above we would want our camera used for any photos.

I'd say it all depends on the Tog involved and their reputation. I use my own kit and my own cards, but I can give veri's from folk I've taken pics for in the past.

My camera doesn't have internal memory as it's a professional DSLR. The built in memory option is usually a consumer feature.

I use the couples camera/phone - whatever they want. Takes all the risk out from their perspective and all involved still get the buzz
