Call us cynical if you want but we assume that if a single guy over a certain age can't accommodate then they are in a relationship and that's the end of it. There's plenty of single guys who can accommodate and they're the ones we choose to interact with.

I am living with my partner but we are starting the process of splitting up. Hate me if you like but I've waited 3 years for the lack of sex and general intimacy to be addressed (yes, I have tried talking about it) and I'm not waiting any longer.
