You see my pet hate is when I turn down guys and they ask if we can chat.

My answer is always no.

I haven't got time to chat to everyone who asks. I happily chat to forumites in the forum and if they send me a message (I mean familiar faces not someone who posts once in the forum then messages me) and I chat loads to people I have met and people I intend to meet but other wise chat doesn't interest me.

Nobody can see your face, to judge if you're handsome or not (only saying this, based on your words about attractiveness), so you need to pique a persons interest through your profile and messages.
