So, I am a complete newcomer to both the site and this kind of thing as well. I know what I want to achieve (parties, clubs, etc) but I kinda want to get there slow at my own pace. I'm a little reticent to go to a venue on my own just yet, for example. Maybe a meet with a good woman or two first and go from there I guess. I guess I need to build confidence somewhat.

I know there's no pic as yet. I'm working on that. I've read the sticky which is very helpful, but anything else anyone can point out, please do.
