The site is legit, works well for lots of people. I'd suggest you think about whether your profile tells people the sort of things they're likely to want to know, and whether your messages encourage people to chat to you.

From painful experience some people send very brief messages that leave you as recipient with very little to come back on. No idea if that's you or if you are diving in with sex chat too soon, deluging with cock pics or doing something else that lots find a turn off.
