Does 'luck even come into it ? If people have charm charisma are polite look good smell good and can string more than a few words together then luck doesn't really come into it. The only time luck plays a part is who turns up on any given club or party night. Sometimes you have no control of that.

For those who are confused, I’m not seeking profile advice but thank you. I was just making light hearted fun, no harm, no intent. I just want to know what noise a giraffe makes

Loved reading people who are on autopilot and not actually reading what the OP is asking. Sorry I can't help, but if I go to a zoo or safari park I will pay extra attention.

Should have put a code phrase at the bottom of the post to make it obvious as to who'd actually bothered reading it

Aren't they silent?

I watched for ages when April the giraffe was pregnant, and I'm sure it was mentioned then.

A giraffe doesn’t have a voice box so doesn’t make any noise at all. Not sure where I learned that useless fact lol

Giraffes communicate infrasonically, with moans and grunts too low for humans to hear

It was quite freaky, they had some sort of microphone system set up, then amplified through speakers.

I'd always thought til then giraffes were silent, it's just usually inaudible to humans

The giraffes set up this microphone system?

They are more intelligent than we first thought, this is quite the breakthrough.

What zoo was this at? We must revisit the site armed with our own technological fire power

I’ve heard that too. Not sure if it’s an urban (or African) myth. Tho I did see one of those nature programmes where they whacked their necks off each other. That made a helluva sound.
