Photographers?

I am not sure this is the right place for this or not but I am trying to become a better amateur photographer working primarily with people who would like boudoir style photography and black and white pictures.

My issue is I can't get better if I don't have anyone to practice on, so here is my introduction, is there anyone based around the Newbury/ Reading area that would be willing to let me practice with?

I'm not looking for a sexual thing in this purely the ability to try different things, increase my knowledge and hopefully create some great pictures for people.

Any advice would be great

Thanks

Cots

X

Your best bet is sites like purpleport or model mayhem. There's always plenty of hobby models, amateurs, professionals to photograph. Plenty of togs who'll also inspire and offer advice.

From a photographer

You will learn mire from a confident model.

One needing less direction and knowing how to work with the camera.

You are more likeky to find that on a photo or modeling site or forum than fab.

If you are shooting a woman or cpl from fab you will have to split focus between directing etc and your photography and lighting etc.

Yes purpleport is the place to look.

Also look for local studios that do model nights where they have a couple of models and about 6 photographers. These sort of nights are quite good for learning, you learn from the experienced models and pick up tips from other photographers

What the other guys have said is your best advice. These sort of threads tend to disintegrate into criticism of your profile pics, and how can you aspire to take shots of others........(Not that there’s anything wrong with your shots).

Studio networking nights are great. There's loads of groups on Facebook for small independent studios.

I wish mine was big enough to hold them myself.

Thanks for the advice, I will look into it.

If people want to bad mouth my pictures it's not going to bother me. Haters always gunna hate.

I'm desperate for a photo shoot and happy to do outdoors as well as intimate boudoir shots!

If anyone is in Dorset then please let me know! Xx
