Bumping into Fab girls on POF.

So in Manchester I see a lot of Fab users on POF, now is there some hidden etiquette whereby I would blow two chances in one sitting if I approached from the angle of "Hi small world"?

I actually met my last GF on POF and she confessed she had been on here for a few years, never seen here profile as she left, but she shared the photos from her phone with me, which really helped tbf Because at first I did walk, but 15 months together ain't bad?

So basically anybody else had experience with these topics and how did it go down (no pun intended)?????

We met on pof that was nearly 8 years ago. Tracey was also on fab, I never knew about fab untill I met Tracey and now we both enjoy the site

I've seen a lot of women on both here and POF and know from speaking to a few female friends that they use both as much as each other. I also know they say most men are on both so I guess they're used in tandem with each other.

I guess it might be that they are looking for a relationship like myself whilst having fun, or maybe they are on POF but enjoy the naughtier side shall we say and feel they can express that on here more as POF is quite strict

I totally get the difference lol, this is a more blurred line than first meets the eye, in regards to swinging and NSA originally associated with couples inviting other couples and singles, on here I would estimate from my experience 80-90 % are only interested in, or are having NSA sex but Manchester is quite a highly sexed city.

god yeah, i hated that. but then when you reject them on pof and they get nasty you just report their sexual message and they get an instant delete to that's good.

Very true... And I went through the paranoid stage with my ex after she confessed, wether I would not just have had sex and left that night if I had seen her profile, I really couldn't say but she was a keeper and we feel deep for one another !

i wouldn't rule anyone out on here for a relationship, just obviously you use different sites for different things. i definitely don't look for a relationship here and my expectations are different so i get what you mean.

I had to leave pof because all I ever heard was oh I remember you from fab

I was hoping to find a future husband but no one really takes you to seriously once they think they know you from fab

On pof you want dating to be taken seriously.

Its same guys on here as pof and most are looking no commitment of any kind and don't chat beyond sounding out if your up for dirty talk and easy,if not they move on which really spoils pof. Yet most guys I've met on here want a relationship and intend to leave as soon as they get into one and insist they'd happily feck someone else's partner but no way would they share theirs!

Still all fugly so haven't meet any of them although nearly met one good looking guy until I saw his profile on here and it said bisexual!

If you meet me on pof it's dating and you'll be blocked if you cross the line!

Its ao weird when it happens I had somebody message me with 'Raspberry Smoothie'. It's worrying because some of my PoF photos were ones from Facebook and Instagram. I've since deleted PoF and have hidden any photos that aren't particularly discreet on here.

I agree. That's why I think It's very important to choose those I meet very carefully. For me, fab is more about meeting someone who likes to push boundaries. When I was on PoF, the couple of men I did date were a bit too boring in the bedroom. Some don't realise it's not about getting as many men inside me as possible, just because I'm on fab. Hell, a lot of my friends who haven't even heard of fab are on more men than me . It's about finding the ones who are mature and respectful enough to understand that men and women are on equal footing in regards to sex drive and it's not something to look down upon if a woman is sexually lliberated. I've chosen well. Even had a lovely long term relationship with a fabber

I've seen this in action, though it doesn't bother me much...attitudes are slowly changing in this regard and who knows? Maybe in another century or so there will be parity between the two

I do have a question for the OP - why would you assume that a girl with 101 verified meets wouldn't want to spend the evening curling up on the sofa with you and Netflix? We all have different sides and if you can tap into that side, then you get SuperSex girl and SofaSnuggle girl all at once. As long as you don't mind sharing her

We both saw pof as a dating site. Tracey used fab for sex when we met after chatting on pof she told me about fab. I didnt have an issue with it everyone has needs lol. Now we both use fab and there is no jealousy as we are open and honest with each other. We no longer use pof as we have each other but fab is different all together;-)

I'm on POF looking to date, with a view to something emotionally exclusive. Not necessarily sexually exclusive, though I would consider the option.

I'm on here, looking to scratch the itch in the meantime, with no strings whatsoever. That said, if I stumbled across a relationship on this site, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Conversely, if anyone comes looking purely for sex on POF, I tell them to look on here if they're within a sensible distance for a shag, and to 'get real and find someone local' if they're not.

I think 'small world' could be an ice breaker, but read their profile and see whether they're looking for something more committed on there. If they are, then the 'fancy a shag?' approach is likely to get you blocked. However, offering an emotionally exclusive but sexually open relationship might be exactly what they're looking for.

Actually it's a swinging site. Quite a few couples met as singles on here then rejoined together. If you want to use it as a casual sex site, that is completely your perogative. But don't think your way is the only way. People use this site to fit what they're looking for. Let people use it as they please and just concentrate on your reasons for being here. Seriously, why do even care?

I don't have a problem with people using this place as a dating site. For starters, they're a minority, and secondly, most of them are open to the idea of casual sex too.

The people using POF and similar as sex hookup sites are much more annoying, because they're the majority on there and they massively outnumber the genuine users who are there for the correct reasons.

I think there's a kind of no man's land in 'the fuck buddy zone.' Too serious for those who want absolutely no strings. Not serious enough for those who actually want an emotionally exclusive relationship.
