obviously age is a big factor but I do send private photo attached to the chats. Not a Brad Pitt, but not bad looking even though I say it myself.

Age is not your only factor here.

Another problem as already mentioned is the fact that you cannot accommodate.

Many will assume why you can't.

Maybe you could mention why?

To be fair even as a women it's hard to meet when you can't accommodate, on the occasions where advertise I can meet but they need to accommodate so I can travel I rarely get any interest when I advertise that I can accommodate I'm inundated with messages

I wouldn't take it personally dude 1000's of guys competing here. Try networking, get to a few clubs just to build good verificationsand make friends.

Just turned 54 and I still don't think of myself as "an older gent". I don't think about my age at all, in fact.

I still typically run faster than 75% of the people in local races, I keep up-to-date with music, going to see all sorts of bands that most people will never have heard of... Not a lot has changed since I was 14, lol. Just a few more responsibilities...and debts, lol.

Age is all in the mind.

54 is not old, I'm 50 and I'm definitely not old!!!

I tend to find there's a lack of men in my age group in my area and rarely get messages from anyone over 45, I have set my msg filters to block those under 45 as they clog up my in box and I don't want to meet them lol.

From observations I doubt that being 54 has anything to do with it..

Younger men probably have a harder time if anything.

As mentioned, thousands of single men of all ages,with fairly bland profiles,are hoping to get a meet..it is unlikely.

Being nice has bugger all to do with it.You need to make an impression,offer something different that stands out.

Finally. you offer a picture of yr ass!! ! Who do you think that will attract?

You cannot accommodate which suggests you are married, as does the requirement for nsa fun

I'm sure you will find someone just right on here - but that - along with the obvious distance thing would mean I would look elsewhere

OP, head to a club. On the site you'll be in a sea of thousands, in a club you can chat and will be at less of a disadvantage.

I am no spring Chicken myself and I cant accomidate but do travel. I prefer first meets in a club or a social meet. I have been on this site years and have made a number of good friends and found a number of fun friends on here.

Organised Socials are a great way to meet up with people and sometimes you even have sex with them latter down the road.

Is there a secret? Well apart from being well mannored? No.

So many guys join up with the expectation that all they need do is create a very basic profile without putting very much effort into it at all and within minutes they'll be knee deep in offers.

Welcome to the real world.

We gents massively outnumber the ladies here, by around 100 to 1 and so you need to stand out. Why should someone pick you over someone else.

And as you've said, you're an older gent and so may be of appeal to a lesser audience.

When I joined 4 years ago, single guys could be expected to have to wait around 6 months to get their first meet. I suspect the average wait might have gone up by now.

Do a forum search for the numerous other threads on the same subject and also profile advice

As you can see from the time it took to reply to your message I did give up 15 weeks ago but I am back again just 15 weeks old i suppose let give it a go. Or even better maybe I need to take a trip to Bristol lol xx

I cant accomidate reason on my profile. Iam older and have had a lot of fun on here. Just relax and enjoy it. 2 months is nothing.
