The issue I see is, even if you all attend a clinic together, are you then going to lock them up until they get their results?

I think we can all agree that there is no 100% guarantee of anything.

But clearly if both parties are in agreement and all reasonable precautions are taken, it's as safe as it can be.

Even if you are in a long term or married situation, you done know what the other is up to 24/7

The thing is, you can go and get tested and get your results in 4 hours in some places, but it'll be no guarantee of them actually having a clear result... Incubation periods are a real danger (esp when it comes to HIV) and the viral load is always at its peak during the first few months of contracting the virus...

I'd say (seeing you're a TV and you are clearly seeking unprotected anal penetration) it's a rather risky thing with a test in hand or without. At the end you'll just have to take their word and assumed status.

You're a grown up, I'm sure you'll make an informed decision and have fun either way(: but just do sit down with yourself a little and consider the potential consequences of a pleasurable few hours...

Hiv can have a 12 week undetectable incubation period, and still be infectious to others in that time. In theory if someone was infected 11 weeks before being tested, they could pass the test and then remain oblivious until the next test 12 weeks later ie 23 weeks.

I guess your post is 1/2 fantasy but maybe get some friendly detailed advice from people more expert than us x

You seem a little misguided as to how testing works. It's a snapshot of the moment you're tested and they don't test for everything. It won't pick up on things you and your potential partners may have been exposed to that's still in the incubation period. And if any of you fuck anyone else between getting tested and getting the results it's pointless.

Far better to also have discussions about safer sex practices and decide what level if risk is acceptable to you.

For HIV you can look at preventive medicine, though it may cost you.

That isn't the only "nasty" about, however, and gonorrhea has a drug-resistant variant which is doing the rounds. So what used to be a dose of the clap may result in a very nasty infection, hospitalisation or worse.

The question is, as others have said, who to trust. It's a tricky one when swinging because, by definition, we are all "at it". But in the end that's what you are perhaps going to need to do - work out who you can trust.

Your suggestion of a few weeks of safe sex isn't daft either - if you have been to bed with someone many times and not contracted any of the diseases you can get through other forms of contact then you know they aren't a regular factory of infection - but you'll never be sure.

(We are going through a similar decision process at the moment and not finding it any easier than you so good luck.)

Unprotected sex is always a risk, even amongst couples that are meant to be exclusive to each other.

As much as you may not want to contemplate it, you're not tied at the hip to people you have unprotected sex with, so you can never know where they've been.

That being said, I'm not an activist against bareback sex. Consenting adults can make their own choices as long as they're willing to accept the consequences if it turns out to be unpleasant.

The OP's idea is novel. If you can find people that'll go through all that exercise for bareback sex with you, then you better put up one hell of a performance when play starts
