Hi all,

As my profile suggests, I am a complete green horn.

Coupled with the fact I'm also "unhappily married", could there be a harder position to break into the scene with.

So, any advice?

Oh yes being married will make things harder but not impossible, swearing won't help either, nor will the fact that your profile really has nothing to tempt anyone to want to know more. Your profile is your shop window, at the moment its closed. You need to put what you are looking for, what you are interested in/not interested in, likes/dislikes etc, whether you are prepared to travel, visit clubs/socials etc

Good luck anyway and welcome to Fab

You're right about the profile, shouldn't edit them when you're in a negative mood. Now I've re-read it, it is not very inviting.

I'll revise it today - think happy thoughts. I'l have a read of some others for inspiration.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe stop my later, and critique my revision.

Could I just add that you have a cigarette behind your ear (I think lol) in your photo but you say you're a non smoker!

personally i would say if your not happy then maybe you need to either work on it (seek pro help)

or

leave her and give you both a chance to find love with someone else .

i meet people and i am married BUT i am happy with him and our relationship,

i wudnt ever dream of meeting people if i wasnt happy at home .

i dont like meeting guys who are married i always think what if his wife has no idea what if she finds out and turns up and makes a scene what if i am breaking up a family !

if my partner did what your doing to me i would be heart broken and belive me i wud make both sides suffer regardless of blame .

Its actually a pencil - I was at work when I took that particular photo.

[I didn't spot it until too late - I am going to upload another at some point]

That particular debate probably warrants its own thread.

In a black/white world you are right, but its grey and complicated.

Its an opinion and I respective it. I really do.

And I suspect it'll be the consensus, in the final analysis.

I probably would have had the same response until a few years ago, if posed with the same question.
