There are one or two really lovely people here. They are polite, friendly and read profiles and aren't pushy.

These are however, vastly outnumbered by men who have so far not read even the first few lines of my profile and sent me messages telling me:

- my profile is too long

- I'm boring

- I'm a bitch

- I have nice eyes

I have been asked:

- how are you/are you okay/wanna meet up?

- will you piss on me?

- want to give me a blow job?

- will you meet up tonight, here's my number

Some don't even use words but send me pictures of their cocks because clearly that's how you pick sexy women up.

If it weren't for the polite and friendly ones, I'd have walked away by now. Even fewer women on the site then.

I am so glad of the delete and block options.

Do you mean no name and shame, no phone numbers, no contacting blocked people and no promoting commercial services? Yes. Are there some others I've missed? (looks confused) Is my post breaking those? (more confused looks)

Ah, okay. I thought I'd generalised enough and not put any names to them. I've had so many of these that it's not just one identifiable person. Plus, same things getting mentioned on other forums in comments.

Maybe other newbies will see this and realise that there is hope, there are nice guys, it's worth holding out hope and it's not personal the crappy messages, ie others get them.

Sorry you (and just about every other woman - and indeed some couples and men) have to put up with this kind of thing OP - there are some sad entitled individuals on here who really do think it's a case of set up a profile, send a message and get laid!! The sooner they realise that's not the case the better.

Glad though that you're able to see through the BS and have found there are good guys about too.

Trust me what the OP has listed is fairly tame compared to some of the stuff I've heard. My partner has a solo profile here too and some of the stuff she gets sent you really do wonder about the mentality of the senders.

As a couple we haven't experienced this. But I suppose as half of the couple is male, single guys might be more respectful.

I get the occasional do you want to fuck tonight but most of our messages we receive are well thought out.

Sorry to hear that you ladies are not always treated with the same respect.

We have met some amazing people, some who have become really good friends. So keep with it and you will have a lot of fun.

No rules broken at all....a wide sweeping statement says these are the genial things I get asked isn't breaking that rule of specific personal message being quoted and discussed which can identify or expose another fabber who then knows they're being talked about. That's how I read it and I'm sure most understand it that way. If it wasn't ....then there would be very little to discuss on fab without breaking a rule lol.

I had a lady forumite come to stop with me for a couple of nights about 4 yrs ago, she brought her laptop with her and showed me how many messages she got within a couple of hours of being on line. It was absolutely staggering the amount of dross that was filling her inbox. Even if most of them were respectful messages, she would still have needed a couple of full time secretaries to reply to them all.

I've not sent a preemptive message for about 6 years now, I just let the ladies come to me

Tighten down your filters....show pics which are a little revealing but not bare all....and the others for friends only. You'll get messages from those more appreciative and probably less crass messages too. Some of my friends..... prefer to contact rather than being open to be contacted. Then the messages are only from those you want and allowed access to your mail box. Much easier to read and enjoy. You can still see most of those who have looked at your profile...you can scan through them...If they take your fancy you can then make contact that way. It's actually very simple to filter out 200 junk mail messages...

Thank you all for the nice comments.

I set up filters at the start and locked down photos (a shame that I had to that).

Some features like who looked at me seem to be paid only.

I am liberally using the block delete but glad there are some nice messages.

Most messages I get are from fairly decent people and are in good taste. However I have had a few before now who have clearly not read my profile or are clearly men pretending to be women or part of a couple who just want me to either send them pictures or talk dirty to them! There are also a few catfishes on here which i will create a separate post about as I think it's important for new people to know.

They experienced this exactly ine deleted her account within a few hours the other lasted less than a week.

It's quite horrible how some men are so preditory towards new single fems on here. As someone who has left and come back a few times I can totally understand why the numbers of genuine fems is low. It's always the same saddos who pounce as well, the ones no one will meet and complain about not getting any meets.

Persevere OP among the dross and morons there are some amazing people to be met and enjoyed.

After 1500 messages in my first 12 hours on here I nearly deleted my account!

But I stuck at it and although it states various things in my profile I still get sent cock pics and vile requests, just delete and block and don't feel guilty about doing so.

The good ones make up for the awful many times over
