Single males aren't hated in the slightest, the ones who come across as arrogant and entitled get short shrift, and quite rightly so. But if you conduct yourself with respect and have an appealing profile there's no need for you not to be successful....but yes, you are in the majority demographic so that means you'll need to be more patient, and put in more "work" than couples and single fems. OP, being a smoker and not accommodating will decrease your chances further, but some won't mind that.

There is also the fact that most of the single males in here are Site Supporters, so the income they generate would be sorely missed if they were blocked

Text speak doesn't really bother me but I've seen an awful lot of people on the forum say they hate it, so maybe reconsider all the 'u' and lols? But of course you are trying to show your personality so if you think that represents a part of you then keep it. You can rework your profile every day and some will like it some won't. You are already streets ahead of all those with one line profiles...

The reason it's not the same comes down to the fact men are so outnumbered I'm afraid. It's one of the easier ways to whittle down the sheer number of profiles. It's not fair, but it is the way it goes on here.

Genuine couples who can't accommodate most likely have got children so don't need to explain themselves like single guys do. Only trying to make suggestions to make it easier for you. We were only looking for single men when we joined the site and have met some great guys.

As far as the profile goes, 4 of your pics are basically the same and one is so blurry it's a bit pointless so consider editing them.

I quite like your text although as a couple if you messaged us one of my first questions would be what you are looking for. Your profile suggests you're looking for couples as well but no info on what dynamic you like which makes me wonder if you are really interested or it would just be if you couldn't find a single playmate.

At least it makes it a bit clearer you are interested in couples too but by saying you're open to most things / anything it can sounds like you either don't know what you want or that you're trying to please everyone. Ultimately it's your profile, lay out what you are interested in and what you can offer and although it will rule out some people hopefully instead you'll connect with people who are a better match.

OP - do you use normal dating sites as well? I have been on fab for about 14 months and haven't managed to meet ANYONE. Replies are hard to come by (most of my messages are deleted immediately or attract aggressive/insulting replies) and, as others have pointed out, the numbers are against you as a single male - women here get HUNDREDS of messages per day in many cases.

***Now, on the other hand, with relatively little effort from other sites this year I met 35 women and slept with 22 of them - and I had about 1/3 of the year off from meeting anyone, too. Normally I meet about 50 in a year, or one per week. The numbers are still poor (got to send a lot of messages to get one meeting) but absolutely workable and if you want to meet someone in a given week you probably can.

Keep trying your luck here but chances are you will get a lot more sex from sites which are supposedly not for that purpose (but of course they all are really, fundamentally)

To be fair alot of guys are fakes on here. Either claiming to be a female or couple. The site is overloaded on a ratio for men so women and good couples get bombarded eith messages. Theyve too much option on here which makes it extremely hard for men to meet. Espeshally without a veri.

I agree, dating sites are all different - some are more productive (i.e. lead to more real-life meetings) than others.

For single men, who are at a huge disadvantage on any site, it's particularly important to use ones with a better gender ratio and more chance of meeting people.

If you're talking about the length of conversations required before meeting then it's rarely too bad, I find. A few messages either way or a few days of slow replying, say. Then you meet and have to seduce each other in person rather than assuming you will fuck, but that's not usually difficult and still a damn sight better than just meeting no one at all, lol.

no, they're categorically *not* all the same. The reason you're "having" to send a lot of messages is because I'd wager those women think you're actually wanting to form a connection with you.

I agree, dating sites are all different - some are more productive (i.e. lead to more real-life meetings) than others.

For single men, who are at a huge disadvantage on any site, it's particularly important to use ones with a better gender ratio and more chance of meeting people.

If you're talking about the length of conversations required before meeting then it's rarely too bad, I find. A few messages either way or a few days of slow replying, say. Then you meet and have to seduce each other in person rather than assuming you will fuck, but that's not usually difficult and still a damn sight better than just meeting no one at all, lol.

That's just not how things work, unfortunately. If I say to a woman, "Hi, I want to fuck you." then she will block me and I will never get to meet her and nothing will come of it. It would be similarly bizarre to say, "I want to marry you" - wouldn't get me very far. Maybe a girl would message me saying, "I just want someone to buy me drinks for an evening - up for it?" then of course I would not be interested at all and she wouldn't get it from me and I wouldn't get a chance to try for more.

Being "upfront about one's intentions" is very rarely a productive strategy, in this or any other situation. I think it is widely known among adults that the underlying purpose of M/F interactions is some mix of companionship and sex, and it doesn't always need to be highlighted. It goes without saying.

So - if, OTOH, I treat her like a normal human and talk about normal things, go on a normal date and engage in normal human courtship behaviour, then our chances of success are much higher. Whether we just want a ONS or something more.

This is a two-way thing, I don't see women as victims in this arena. If anything, they're FAR more canny, clever and shrewd in the dating game than men can ever manage to be.

I do not think that anyone frowns upon single males as there are couples specifically looking for them.

However a profile has to be both interesting and contain good pictures in order to get to the starting point of the race .

I think some members make the mistake of assuming that because it is a sex site , they can ignore making any effort to either sell or market their non sexual attributes . A mention of hobbies and interests will hopefully put more personality into a profile .

Just because a single male cannot accomodate it doesnt mean hes cheating. What if hes a single parent (Shock a MALE single parent) who has a disabled child and wants to find some adult company?
