My neighbour has just asked me to pop over later to feed her dogs whilst she is out.

Would it be reasonable to check out her laundry basket?

If by reasonable you mean perverted (and not in a good way), weird, a massive invasion of privacy and conplete betrayal of trust then yes it's totally reasonable

Just go in and feed her dogs like she asked! Do not go snooping about, especially in her laundry basket!

I know of a few folk getting caught out with fingers in knicker drawers and suchlike.

Aside from the creepy side of it, lots of people have surveillance cams inside as well as outside their homes. You never know who's watching ya!
