I know theres already a social goes on in the pink triangle somewhere but would be good to meet a few people for an informal social and then who knows once the beer is flowing lol

thats the whole point of a social....

a "social" isn't some sort of codeword for an orgy... it is exactly what you described which is a good event to just meet people!
