Big powerful men part 2, the revenge of the power bellies!

So in the previous episode I was in search of big guys. A few came out of the woodwork, I had a quick look in the wheelie bins and then behind the bushes where I thought I might find Shag hiding with a bag of Haribo star mix but to no avail. The thread then ended with me and Subbykitten discovering we had both bought sub standard knickers with loose elastic which kept falling down at the mere sight of a big guy and a big bear that was carting beer barrels around for some bizarre reason!

Its all true too. I can even share some Rugby shots taken this year playing in a non pub league team and or imagination land.

So so many Rugby "players" pretenders on hear. Just look at there legs. Barrels with tooth picks.

I used to be a very good shot putter a in my teens. Still only 21 so not that long ago.

Some of the muscle may have left me, but still got more than enougj strength to throw VS around the bedroom

Having done a preliminary assessment, I think the only way to resolve this one is to get you all in a room together so that Flamehaired and I can judge in person!

Although naturally the judging might take a while.....as I need to ensure we taken everything in..and everything down! ..

To be fair he'd make anyone look small! I met Brian Shaw and Terry Hollands at a strongman expo a few years ago and remember them being way bigger in real life than they look on TV, although they look mahoosive on TV too!

"So in the previous episode I was in search of big guys. A few came out of the woodwork, I had a quick look in the wheelie bins and then behind the bushes where I thought I might find Shag hiding with a bag of Haribo star mix but to no avail. The thread then ended with me and Subbykitten discovering we had both bought sub standard knickers with loose elastic which kept falling down at the mere sight of a big guy and a big bear that was carting beer barrels around for some bizarre reason!

Some of you lot should have gone to body power on the weekend, aside from loads of big guys of the power shelf/gut were loads of the meathead type, a few synthol type too. Not to mention you could have seen old school strongman Glenn Ross tell me in front of about 100 people I have the grip strength of a woman :/

Nothing wrong with having the grip strength of a girl, I've made many a mans eyes water with my girlie grip! Would love to have gone but was working unfortunately.

I could make some excuses, but the reality is, I were unprepared. It were a 75kg 1 hand pinch grip type event, with a 3.5" handle.

It were def worth going, just from strong(wo)man type were Terry Hollands, Bill Kazmire, Zydrunas Savickas, Eddie Hall, Lawrence Sharlai, Kristoph Radzinowski (not sure on spelling), Glenn Ross. UK's Strongest Woman Donna Moore too. I didn't see Brian Shaw or Hathor Bjornson who were both expected on the MHP stand.

Loads of others too.

I want muscles!! Well not on my own body you understand! I am tiny! So I need a big mountain of a man to use as a climbing frame.... it still gets a bit cold at night! Broad chest and BIG arms....

It's generally really hard to be "big and strong" without the "big, strong and fat", there are degrees of fat ill grant you. Over simplified but in modern times mass moves mass. Guys like Mariusz Pudzianowski at 135kg lean are rarer than lottery wins.

Maybe worth looking for a "strong lean body builder" or a "lean powerlifter" because 99.99% of the guys who are at the top of the power, strong and strength game are the big, strong and fat type.

World's strongest man in about 2 months in leeds, anyone going ?

I think Fab's needs to make an alteration to there descriptions. I am off the larger variety but when selecting my body type I have very few options to choose from.

I'm not athletic but not over weight which leads you to make the average selection.

Maybe they could have a selection for muscular with lean / stand and bulky as sub sections. This would hopefully allow the ladies to search and browse for there men better

It is more difficult with men, but men are a secondary concern on fab so wouldn't hold my breath.

I'd like to see men and women get their own descriptors. For men I think Slim, Athletic, Average, Muscular, Chunky, Large (and Fabulous for giggles) would be closer to covering most men.

Would still be abused to kinda moot.

What can be described as big and powerful? I am 6ft 2 and about 21 stone and until 3 years ago was a professional wrestler and in the past was a professional semi professional rugby league player so I am fairly strong. However since stopping wrestling I have acquired a bit of a belly so does my body shape count.

Just to give you a rough idea of size I have a 23 inch neck, 60 inch shoulders, 54 inch chest, 40 inch waist and 22 inch thighs (never skipped leg day).

EMPM is a strongman comp. Paul Carter gave me the trophy and was in the car I was pulling. Standard strongman set up. Log, farmers, yoke, car pull, stones.

I've often thought the body type on Fab should be split two ways - have the current options but also a straightforward small, medium or large.

Fact is.... some men just have those big chests, broad shoulders and arms the size of tree trunks that just make a size 6 woman like me want to curl up in a ball in their lap with my head resting against using those pumped up pecs as a pillow. They are strong and can lift me in their arms with ease....

Doesn't have a muscular choice when you register and I'm not average so went with curvy as I do have curves no abs but muscles everywhere else

Doesn't have a muscular choice when you register and I'm not average so went with curvy as I do have curves no abs but muscles everywhere else "

Curvy just seems an odd choice of description for a guy, it seems more feminine to me. I always think the large option with a pic is better.

Doesn't have a muscular choice when you register and I'm not average so went with curvy as I do have curves no abs but muscles everywhere else

Good to see that we have so many rugby lads on here. You can never go far wrong with a rugby player. Never judge a book by its cover or an ex player by size and shape. Bit of a belly but a beast in bed.

Nope gave up because I ripped my quad completely on my left leg and decimated all cartridge and ligament in the knee too, didn't hurt when I did the comps but yeah that injury hurt but hey if that's what you want to think

Quad tear? Minor injuries really. Anf if competing didnt hurt, can't have been doing anything heavy.
