Hi guys, I'm new to fab and the scene as is Ellen my hot partner in crime.

What exactly is meant by a fake profile? Ellen and I have attempted to sort a meet with a few couples. They haven't happened. The reason range from us not being organised enough to the other people involved go silent when is gets to sorting details.

Secondly what are the ways to identify them, photo verification I'm guessing it's not nesseccarily enough?

On a side note, if seems a club is the most effective way to meet and explore. Which makes complete sense.

Brighton - even Hove!

No such thing as a fake profile. They are all as real as the other. People create profiles for different reasons, for example, some men create ones and pretend to be women or couples just to get dirty chat, or send some poor man on a wild goose chase to a random house. Some people don't want to meet either yourselves ever or yourselves at that point or anyone and just use fab for chatting.

There is no certain way to avoid time wasters (people who arrange to meet them don't turn up) but not meeting in the first place despite positive talk about it is just the way it is.

if it's a couple, look for photos of them both, verifications and verifications of those who verified them, go to a club or social so you can meet people for real, meet socially in a cafe before arranging sex meets, chat for as long as you want and just generally try to join in on the forums and chat rooms and get to know people.

If you use the forums and chat rooms you will see the people who are active and usually not fakes.

Have fun at a club

Go for profiles verified by meets. But check the same on the profiles of those that verified them...paper trailing!

Then they are genuinely folks who do meet!

If they then don't meet you....?

Ilkeston

Just use a bit of common sense when organising.

Messaging a profile that has been on here a long time but has no/very old meets are probably unlikely to end in a meet.

That said, verifications in themselves don't mean that a profile is real.

Burnleyish (She/They)

From what I can tell is that you get accused of being fake if you won't meet someone when they think you should...

I've been on here under two profiles. Once was a lot going time ago when I was in a relationship that openly embraced swinging and was fully polyamorous.

That relationship ended and I set up a new profile. I didn't go down my usual 'fuck anything that moves' response when the relationship ended and just met a select few people. I'm now in a relationship with a previously vanilla, very monogamous man.

He is happy for me to play with women and to do bdsm with women (for the moment) which is why my profile is still active, but more then a few men and couples have called me fake because of it.

best idea for you both would be go to a club and introduce yourselves let other folks know your real and genuine swingers, it however does not guarantee you will get meets on here. but it will certainly give you more chance of doing so.

"That said, verifications in themselves don't mean that a profile is real."
that would I guess depend on how well profiles are verified would it not ?

Of all the people I have met through Fabs over the years I have been on (and off) here, very, very few have ever been people active on either the forums or chat rooms.

The numbers of 'genuine' (ha!) people on here who don't contribute to either, in my experience, outnumber those who do by a huge margin...

Agree with BrightonSteve though - there is no such thing as a 'fake' profile, however there are those which are... 'misleading'... let's leave it at that...
