Personally I hate winks and ignore them but you have to do whats right for you.

If someone winks us and we like the look of them we wink back encouraging them to initiate a conversation.

I generally only check my winks occasionally. as a single bloke I think you will have to be more proactive than winks if you want win on this site. no harm in them mind.

When we get a wink or a message we will always reply to the message, even if its a no thanks, but if we get a wink we will check out that persons profile, but if they don't meet our meeting criteria then we tend to ignore the wink

Don't get why people are so against winking. It's an easy why of showing interest. If both parties wink then it shows a possibility of a meet. Surely it's more annoying getting a message from someone you have no interest in than it is getting a wink from them.

Message number shows on top of screen. Winks are buried somewhere (dont think I actually know where

) so it depends really.

A forum post is much more likely to get my attention though

Depends how i feel.. sometimes you can write a nice polite opening messages and they are just deleted.. so to avoid wasting my time.. i sometimes just wink

I agree its down to the individual and what they feel comfortable doing

Or read the profile get a feel for the person then do your thing

I don't wink prefer a message or 2

A wink is a wink.

Most Guys who go to the trouble of reading a profile, constructing a pleasant message still get deleted without a reply.

I send winks when the profile has no details. If they don't make the effort, why should I?

hey a wink gets their attention but a carefully penned messaged based on their profile with a bit of humour and a face pic that's the way to go
