I have no idea what you're writing but it does help to refer to something in the profile to show that you've read it, which so many guys just don't.

I agree with the other poster that it will largely depend on the quality of your profile

You really need to tailor the message to the profile, otherwise its a non-starter. Then again some people just don't fill them out, in which case its just pot luck!

It's a problem for many people (not us as we're not seeking singles) but don't understand the number of people who just aren't up front about not being able to accommodate, if you have kids or live in a shared house why not say so, just makes it easier than people thinking you're playing away.
