A picture really does speak a thousand words, though. It needn't be of your face. But images of some sort really do inspire confidence in others to message you and give a much clearer impression of you as a person than text alone.

I don't see what the problem is she's allowed to be as picky as she wants in her profiles she's also allowed to ask mainly women as that's what she's looking for if her profile would put them off .

It's your profile and you should use it as you wish, but in all honesty you are not going to get a great response from the swingers on fab (as most if us are) if you say you are not really into swinging - most people respect others' profiles and would stay clear for this reason.

Also, as others have said, you really need some photos (not necessarily) of your face, and a verification or two to confirm you are really are a genuine woman - there are many men posing as single girls.

OP, I have seen your other thread and know you have been burned, but the no cam, no pic swapping, no kik etc. Will likely put of genuine people, and be absolutely what a fake person will be looking for because they know that you will not ask for anything from them to prove they are real!

Asking for proof early on is more likely to work for you. For example send me a picture of you with a pint of milk.

Also sticking to people who have verifications, and verifications and pics that are within a reasonable timescale. If they haven't added a pic, or had a meet since 2013, are they likely to be genuinely looking for a meet now?

I also agree you need at least Something to replace the silhouette.

Reading your profile there are a lot of restrictions that requires the single women to put a lot of trust in you without really knowing you. I'm a single bisexual lady and I'm pretty weary of profiles like yours only because there are a lot of men pretending to be women and any means of trying to prove they were genuine are a no go. When I first began here my first verification was a fab cam chat veri. My second was a couple meet at a club.

The green flag to me basically says you're a person, but a green tick and a published veri indicates to me that you are who you say you are, but having a few public photos would help too.

Think of all the possible options, without breaching your privacy, that will allow genuine women to reach out to you and give you a chance.

I probably should of mention this in my post.

But basically I putted a post up on swingers chat. I recently came across a male pic hunter and as a result, the person has some explicit pictures of me. I know stupid. A lot of the comments from the post strongly advised me to not... Add on kik... No cam... No sending pics..

I just wanted to find a way to protect myself so that I don't encounter that experience again.

Fab has chat room with webcams, if you see someone on there, you can verify them by cam. If you cam via Skype or any other video chat software you can also verify that you have seen someone on camera.

It is usually considered by most to be inferior to an actual face to face meet.

A cam chat in the Chat Rooms can be seen by anyone in the chat room. A cam chat on Skype would be 1 to 1.

OP, take a bit of time to digest the advice you've been given. Plenty of it seems contradictory.

Spend plenty of time thinking about where you are comfortable, we're all different. What's good for one isn't for another.

This is about you being comfortable and finding what you're looking for.

Past bad experiences can taint us. Those experiences aren't the rule. They are part of the lesson though.

Think about what you want and who you want to find. Think about your level of comfort and confidence. Think about what you can offer.

When you are happy, write your profile.

Visit your own profile every now and again. Keep it if you happy and it's working.

Change the bits you're not happy with.

You don't have to do this now. You have time.

Come and chat in the lounge and get to know a few people there.

They're good folk, funny and helpful.

You don't have to be on cam for very long to get someone to verify you. 5 mins, face showing, jobs done.

I think it's a bit hypocritical to say that you have rules in place for someone to verify they are genuine with you but according to your profile, you aren't willing to do the same.

Not everyone on this site is a pic hunter, it's just unfortunate that you have found one previously.

I think you need to take a deep breath, read all the advice and then make a sensible decision about how to progress. As you say yourself, you aren't into the swinging lifestyle ... perhaps POF is better for you?

You will need to have a good read on the thread I posted about this.

The people who verified her said they only saw her on cam and that she looked VERY different from the pictures on her FAB profile, but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I saw her on cam and SHE looked very different from her pictures, not only that the cam seemed recorded and I asked her to perform an unusual action, she then abruptly closed the cam, blocked me from FAB...

On the other hand if you are a fake, we can expect you to be UNLOS in no time.

If this is your first time on a site like this I'm actually surprised how quickly you have become aware of how things work in the sense of hiding you pictures and the rules set out on your profile.

I don't know about everyone else, but I set out to complete my profile as soon as I could to meet the people I wanted and I never had "rules" until a few months in as I was still getting accustomed to how the site worked and wasn't aware. Kinda like a fish out of water situation.

If people are camming, 1 on 1 you need to make sure that they are talking to you and responding to you.

If they start saying things like my speakers and/or mic are broken, then they are probably fakers just trying to film you. If in doubt, type that you want them to give you a wave. Obviously a recording wont be able to wave back.

Sounds like you know what you're looking for. Wishing you all the best, however, shorter profiles read better. Not saying yours is wrong if that's what you want it to say, but you don't want to bore potential matches either. You're a student, so I assume you've written a personal statement (oh the joys) well, a profile is a personal statement basically and photos tell a thousand words, if you don't want the world to see, make them private and attach them to mail for people you wanna meet

(sigh) if you read this whole thread, you would see that I mentioned that I started a thread on Swingers chat about my experience with the supposed "male pic hunter). The people who replied on my post advised me on those set of rules that you can see on my profile.

I hid my pictures because I wasn't comfortable with showing them to the public :s. Is there something wrong with that? I'll make them public when I'm comfortable..or take new pictues.

. I think I need to take my time, decide what I really want and make changes to my profile. The supposedly (male pic hunter) did shake me up and has made me overly cautious. But these things do happen and I should't allow it to ruin he experience I want to have and push away genuine people.

Rules first may tend to put people off. Put something like, ' if you've managed to get this far....'. Some of your rules could be worded a little differently.

You also say you're fed up of having to play by other's rules, but have a long list of rules yourself!

Remove the bit about blocking people if they send you a friend request after a couple of messages.. you can make that decision when it happens.

Nothing wrong with the dos and don't see its your profile after all. However it's imperative that you at least have a profile pic and it doesn't have to a face shot just show enough to entice people in . As for getting verified on cam, you don't even have to show your whole face but just be prepared to write things on a piece of paper if asked. Then ask the other person to do the same...you can also use kik to ask someone to write a message on their hand then send you a pic etc if their fake it's impossible to get round!!

My advice to you chick would be either look up your local swing clubs look for the bi girl only night pop along chat have a laugh see what happens you have a lot of negatives in your profile that is prob putting people of msging you also find someone to chat to on here you feel happy with give them a Skype clearly you can keep your clothes on and just chat crap get a veri out of it and then ladies know your real change your privacy setting to women n couples only n go from that

Sorry OP but speaking as a single bi fem, there is absolutely nothing on your profile that would inspire me to chat to you.

No pics, harsh sounding text.

You have to bear in mind, you are trying to appeal to women on here.

Men will still message a profile like that. Most women won't as to me, it is unfriendly.

I think you should, at the very least swap your 11 negative points around with your intro script; currently by point 4 people will dismiss you as a negative whinger who will present with issues! !!

Hello OP, as a single bi-fem I agree with a previous post that I find your profile rather hostile and wouldn't appeal to me at all. There is a lot about what you don't want and very little about what you would like to give.

If I'm completely honest, I read it and think you're a guy. Can't put my finger on it, but I always go with my intuition so would likely think fake and move on.
