I might be the only one thinking this, but here goes. As far as I am concerned if a username is plan stupid, rude or in bad taste. I am not even interested in talking to them. I feel the name you have choosen can say alot about you and your intent. So using words like shagger or fucker might put people off.

Interestingly enough, when I first joined, I used a plain, completely non-sexual name.

And I got criticised for it.

By a woman.

Yes, you read that correctly. A woman actually took the trouble to write me a message about my user name and pointed out the pattern most other names follow here, giving a few examples.

So I'm afraid, it's a case of 'You're dammed if you do and you're dammed if you don't'

Can't please everyone

I've changed mine recently as my old one had the phrase "lad" in it.... which nearing my mid thirties I thought might put people off?!

I've now just lied obviously with my new one

I have been Northern Exile as I now live dahn saaf, Tommy Atkins but that didn't work well. Now I'm Mr Marmite as people either like me or they don't. I do feel that sometimes it puts people off.

I wouldn't know where to start on an appropriate / suggestive name that suits me...

Suggestions welcome!

I dislike usernames that men think will entice you such as ilickforhours, ishagforages, ilovelickingpussy, mr10inch etc. Has any woman ever seen a username like ilickforhours and thought oh you like to lick for hours I must meet you? I know I haven't. It has the opposite effect on me.

I also dislike usernames like iamgoingtoruinyou, slutshagger, whorefucker etc.

To an extent, we think along the same lines, a username can tell us a lot about someone....BUT alot of people use stupid names just for a giggle to show they aren't taking the whole thing too seriously. I think when you read their profile you can tell whether "biggerthanyourmans" really is that much of an arrogant dickhead, or whether he has attempted to take the pee a bit when choosing his name.

We always joke that some people on here need to read the trade descriptions act haha!!

when I chose our username I wanted something non descriptive, plus our name seems to havebeen a good conversation starter, I get asked why weved used 2105 quite often.

You do have to ask yourself who on a site where you should be showing yourself off would call themselves "psycho12"assripper" or the like.
