Joined this not knowing what to expect but willing to try new things and try anything once. can anybody help me out with how to write my profile in an apealling kind of way?

Some people, like us, are impressed by people who can use proper capitalisation, real grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.

That almost sounded like a fetish!

Remember that here as in life first impressions count and your profile is that first impression. Just like in life there are those that will like "get yer coat youve pulled" and those that like more.

May I just say englandportugal that for a couple, one of whom is not English and the other barely English (as stated in your profile) your grasp of written English is impeccable, something us 'natives' could learn a lesson or two from!

Read others profiles and see what they have written, no one can write your profile as you know what you like or want.

Write your profile, then read it and ask yourself....

"Would I respond to that?"

If the answer is "No"..then write something that you would respond to.

Remember...you are trying to sell yourself, so you have to make your profile interesting enough to make someone want to write to it.

Also, don't forget that when you send a prospecting email to other members, they will almost certainly have a look at your profile before deciding whether to ignore your approach or to write back.
