If your messages are anything like your profile text then yes - that could be the problem.

most people read profiles before messages and if your profileisnt up to par it wont matter whats in the message. Ive just read your profile and to be brutely honest (so i apologise in advance for ant offence possibly taken) the one line off blah blah blah ..... just implies you're desperate enough to stick your dick in anyone that offers, not an attractive quality in a guy

Need to know basis

Do a search, 1000's of threads giving profile advice. The problem is that if you do not take action on the advice/help given you'll still be where you are today in a few months!
