Swinging seems to attract a lot of people who have been hurt in past relationships, and have decided to go for self gratification, so usually come across as confident and knowing what they want. Of course underneath, they still long for love and security.

Unfortunately men assume that a message/wink will automatically lead to a meet and they become unpleasant when they get a no thank you.

I enjoy the chase, but there is not a lot of game where I am. Maybe I will expand my hunting grounds, see what lies a little further afield

Are you basing this on your extensive knowledge of the swinging scene or just the people you meet?

Because while I suspect it may be true of supposedly straight men seeking cock behind their wife's back (arguably the very definition of fucked up) I doubt it's not true for most people we've encountered.

I am basing it on 35 years of my professional experience, supporting people with relationship issues, and it is being confirmed by the many messages received here since my post.
