I been thinking of getting a tattoo on my pubic area with my wife’s name and a heart in colour. Never had a tattoo before and was hoping someone has some advice for me. Does it hurt? How long does it take? Etc. thank you In advance

Yes it hurts.

How long for depends on what you're having tattooed

Depends on the type of tattoo.

With a regular tattoo gun, the reason it hurts so much and takes so long to heal is that the gun actually tears the skin and puts the ink deep.

If you look into a bamboo tattoo. This is done by an expert and is the equivalent of somebody jabbing you with a needle hundreds of times.

The ink does not go so deep.

The recovery period for this is days rather than weeks too.

Have a look into it before you commit.

I had my first tattoo a year ago & used numbing cream. It’s not so bad & I really hate needles. I now have 4 tattoos & want more.

The pain depends on where you get it done. Nearer to the bone hurts but fleshy parts don’t. The last half hour of getting a tattoo is the worst as the body & mind know it’s coming to an end soon. Pm me if have any questions happy to help.

Don't use numbing cream. It's not that sore. And if you do use it then make sure and tell the tattooist as it can damage the tattoo. I regularly sleep when getting tattooed so pain is dependent on how big a jessy you are.

Get good cream for after it. None of that bepanthen or similar nonsense. There are plenty of good creams made by tattooists that will help.
