Take the plunge and just go to a club, you may go home with nothing but you might not. It's a lot easier to prove you are polite by just talking to people. Ask for a tour.

Hello OP,

It's unfortunate but realistic to imagine that your age is a factor. However, I'm sure there is still life in the old dog yet, so don't get despondant. Socials and clubs are probably a good way to go so that people see the person, not their age.

Also it says can't accom ,but you've written in text that you can .so maybe change that if you can accom.
