Too close?

We're new-ish, and have met some exciting and horny people on our infrequent visits to a club we like...we'd like to meet more people from Fab ..drinks first then fun if we're all happy..

Does anyone else have a self imposed rule about not meeting people from the same town they live in or anyone living too close to us..

seemed a good idea to begin with, but it actually limits us quite a lot...

We share the not in the same town rule.We think it could be embarrassing bumping into a fab friend in the supermarket etc.

why should it be embarrasing you both know what the other is doing, its not like you are discussing it over the tills

well I have met one lady and haven't bumped into her outside yet, and if we did I would behave as though I had never met...

TELFORD

we know at least 4 very local and I mean local people/couples, one works in our local supermarket one from school etc, we chat and laugh and get on great on here, outside of this we can walk past each other like total strangers, not even make eye contact. when swinging we act as if we have know each other for years. very odd, think its who you trust, I would never discuss this side of our lives to someone who was very open about it and likely to broadcast it.

I agree even if you did spot each other you only have to say hi.

The same as you would with anyone else you come across.

It's not like we have swinger drawn on our head

I think for some people the non local rule is a must ... esp in professions where it could prove quite awkward.

I avoid people that live too close. Had a bad experience once with a bloke that lives in the same town and it made me pretty paranoid. I had to delete my profile and start this one as he kept harrassing me.

I still bump into him now and then but I told him I'm not on the site anymore (he's never found this profile thankfully) and now he leaves me alone.

I've tended to avoid people who are too close. I have a teenage son and unfortunately some individuals aren't as mature and respectful as people on here. It's hard to know who knows who, and idle gossip is a tradeable commodity these days. I'd find it difficult if my behaviours became a millstone for him.

I can be far more uninhibited where I don't feel I'm looking over my shoulder. The best experiences are of course where we're less inhibited and feel free to explore our boundaries. Maybe that's why being a little further afield can work?

I got chatting to a guy couple weeks ago on here, turns out he was in my year at school and from pic he sent me i knew who he was....i said that i knew him and not good idea to meet, he pretty much blocked me straight away, thank god i didnt say who i was or send a pic

personally, for me i wouldn't meet anyone i might have known from the past or in everyday life now.

I said i wasn't interested as like you too close to home but i have met people from my home town most of those I met at the Lodge hence I wouldn't go again. It does however limit meets as I cannot travel far so if they attach a face picture and I think I recognise them, I wouldn't meet them

We don't have a hard and fast rule and just use common sense and make a judgement call. We don't tend to do impromptu meets so we will happily chat to locals but if we get any doubts then it won't go anywhere.

There are 2 local couples that go to many of the same places as us in London and we would happily play with them because we know that if we bumped in to them we would have a chat anyway.

I know you can never tell for certain but you can normally get a feel for people and local impromptu meets are potentially asking for trouble in my opinion
