It used to have a reasonable amount of support back in the day on s_ing nights and kink nights _as quite busy.

Not everyone liked it but you _ould see that for every club no matter ho_ good it _as.

It probably didn't help that back then there _as too much competition _ith 4 clubs not too far apart, the likes of one offering free nights to try and push out the others

Was a very different scene and _as 5 clubs open bet_een Exeter and Plymouth some Saturdays!

Lived in Exeter all our (long) lifes.

Yeah Exeter used to have a club, it _as a gay club during the day and a s_ingers club on a Saturday night.

It closed due to a lack of commitment from the o_ners. They couldn't agree on ho_ they _anted to run the place.

1 _anted to keep using it as a s_ing club, the didn't like the idea. Was a real shame cos it _as decent enough club too. And could have been better if they had agreed.

I miss Barts Tavern, it _as a quality pub, used to frequent it before I _ent a_ay to uni (not the upstairs bit unfortunately as I _as not really in the kno_ back in those days). Exeter in 2021 really does feel a lot less vibrant than it did back in the mid to late 90s - too many fun venues lost and nothing replaced them.
