** Maybe the male half wants to see if someone will acknowledge he is also involved or is screening potential partners, before sharing/involving/asking his Mrs.

There's many reasons.

Why do people only ever want to talk to one half of a couple? If it's a couple you should get on with, and interact well, with both.

When I was married, we'd block anyone that dismissed him

we were an equal couple. Even if he did most of the initial screening and profile admin, it was a joint decision.

I would also ask why so many only address the woman when messaging.

In answer to the question.

It's either not a couple or she is in bed and he is just dealing with the messages.

My husband uses our couple profile much more than me.
