Hi Fabbers. Joined on the recommendation of an old flame. Understood it would be more of a challenge to make contacts for men but to be honest, nothing seems to be happening. Emails go ignored,unread or deleted. Anyone got any advice or want to help kick start the FAB experience?

Erm... You have a verification for meeting in person the same week you joined. Keep repeating what you did then to get that meet and you'd be fine.

However, if you're thinking just because you joined Fab you'd have easy pickings, then try again.

The verification was the person that recommended here to me. We met a year ago. She verified me to get me started

Unfortunately, you are just another single guy on a website flooded with them. At least you are one step ahead most, you do have verification from meeting in person.

Advice (though not sure we should give any as we are not having much luck either)- if you want to try the lifestyle, go for organised socials and clubs, build yourself a reputation as a friendly, well-mannered, not pushy person. It will not benefit you straight away (unless you're really lucky) but should eventually.

If you'd rather just use the site- don't expect any replies, even delete all mail from your "sent" folder. Then, if any reply comes, it would be a surprise. Also, join in the forum- there are some silly games and discussions happening, but also serious stuff is being discussed - whatever floats your boat.

If you can't accommodate, are there other alternative places to consider. If so, explain that on your profile.

If you don't mind the price of clubs, have a think about going at some point. Have a look at the chatrooms on here, they can be great for interaction. You might find someone to talk to ....

Your post is longer than you're profile, nothing standing out in the pictures (are you married?) try and write a profile, tell us about you. Have a look at other posts in the forum's there is some sound advice out there
