We use it as a safety net. Happy to full swap if we all click, but have found sometimes that julie really likes the wife but less so the hubby, we can then opt for soft swap only.

From our experience the profiles will say that the female is Bi - the male Straight. But when you meet & things get going the male is fairly open to a little soft bi also. We've been told that the reason is that if a guy says he's bicurious that it can put potential meets off. Think it's a male stigma type thing still.

In fact most of the men who have played with another male are straight, it's just in the swinging environment its safe to be uninhibited.
