your profile name in itself will prove to be offputting for many

good on you for mentioning your marital status, but don't expect everyone to be on board with it just because you are honest about it

other than that, i would :

turn all your pics the right way up

say a little about what you like / what you are looking for

we are now venturing into chicken and egg territory

as i see it, people want to look at a profile and use its content, text and pics, to make a judgement on whether to message or not.

the more information you supply upfront - and you don't have to be specific - will help them make that decision.

so you may not get any more messages, but those you do get are more likely to come from people who are looking for similar experiences or who share some common ground with you

I think in practice it doesn't work too much like you think it may. People often check a profile if they receive a message, and decide to proceed or not. So the profile's a clincher... or failure for meets. (mails have to be right and to the right people too).

As it's a sexual site, is it not realistic to expect the majority of text in a written profile to be pertinent to sex? Whilst I now know your sense of humour, that's less important and people can't just be expected to look at a list of interests further down and think,'yeah, he's good enough/right for me'.

The username I think is a killer, so you may want to change it. A short 1 line statement about being married is enough. Honesty's ideal, and you'll find people interested, but it takes effort and tenacity. Good luck!
