I have a lovely single friend who I met years ago as our kids were friends and grew up together , she’s been on her own for a few years and I do odd jobs for her and sometimes we have sneaked a lunch out ( pre covid ) , chat on what’s app a lot !! Would like it to go a bit further sometime ... any advice ? Thanks ..

I would sort out your sexless relationship first before you even think of starting something with your friend as cheating is never the answer.

Get yourself out of It and continue being friends with your friend rather than going straight from one relationship into another.

New Year is a great time for things like this - new year & new start fir you both lol. Try and use the occasion to its advantage as you won't get that excuse for another 12 months.
