Where to start?

I have absolutely no idea where to start, i joined this site on the recommendation of a couple friend of mine. but so far my experiences have not been fruitful. I'm not expecting the full works with everyone but just a heads up on where to start as an inexperienced member would be great. All feedback is appreciated...

You need to write a decent profile.

As always good advice given above but maybe you need to adapt how you approach fab.

Although if the people you're looking at and mailing don't like your face you'll still get nowhere. No matter how good your profile is (not bitter at all )
