FabSwingers.com forum: What are we doing wrong?

Been on here for a while now and all we seem to come across is men pretending to be couples we have had a few good chats with some couples and felt like we had a good connection but then it seems to go no where and on the whole we haven't had much luck so any advice people could give to us we would be very grateful for

Erm.....

Very little wrong as such.

Emphasise on WHAT you want to experience, what you can offer others and what you can bring to a get together.

If you haven't already put face pics in friends or private for easy access.

And don't forget you've been in 3 months of countrywide lockdown and no one is meeting anyone anywhere.

It takes time, don't be too disheartened. Especially in tne situation we're all in. x

Meetings aren’t really happening at the moment so it’s a difficult on Fab. There are plenty of genuine couples about though

For most people Fab can't lead anywhere at the moment due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and not wise to meet.

Hopefully this will get easier soon.

I have to agree with this OP.

It may seem like a minor thing but messy backgrounds in pictures are really off putting.

Apart from that your profile is ok albeit a slightly nervous sounding one.

Just keep updating as you gain more confidence in what you are looking for and what you can offer.

Your photos could do with some work. If you have to say, "ignore the clothes," just take new photos.

Also, your profile only mentions what you want (and not very detailed at that). What do you offer?

It's a lot to do with the lockdown. We're finding that we're getting plenty of interest but nothing can go anywhere as no-one is meeting and there's only so much "chat" can be done. We understand that we might only have one thing in common with someone (sex!) so long message conversations are often difficult, and if there are lots of them, time consuming.

We have more conversations drying up than before as before lockdown they'd have gone on to meeting much quicker.

As soon as you move to Kik you have no proof they are a time waster or a fake profile.

We generally find the people that want to move ‘off Fab’ early are time wasters.

Not always the case. We hate the message system on Fab - lack of folders, no notifications, etc. We like KIK as we have our own accounts so if we're chatting to someone as a couple then we have a three-way, if Char is chatting as a single then she has her own conversations.

You aren't doing anything wrong necessarily. It's just been a shitty time for people to meet and that has a knock-on effect with the messaging they are doing. You seem nice enough and come across as genuine. Keep looking for people you might click with and send them friendly messages. Some people organise group socials you might want to try when the world gets back to normal, and clubs will operate again some time.

Things should pick up for you.
