Hi All. Wondering what everyone thinks about post up trans women posting on the women's section. Is this bamboozling if she has breasts and a vagina? Should she be obliged to disclose?

Northampton Somewhere

It's where she should be, isn't it? And I'd say it was her choice to disclose or not

If the lady wishes to disclose something, she can, if she doesn't then people should accept that !

Anyone who doesn't isn't worth meeting anyway.

(just my view) !

Legally she can't be compelled to disclose. If she decides to (or not) is her decision and hers alone.

In fact, if a third party were to disclose without her consent, that could be an offence.

For us its the person who you are now..not who you was then...so definitely wouldn't need to declare anything to us..

Thanks, really interesting feedback so far and for safety, I reckon it's best to disclose personally, even if it's just a mention. No obligation of course, but women have been killed by ignorant or narrow minded men for not disclosing and I'd loathe to be a statistic (although with a vagina my transition is not obvious). I greatly respect those women who prefer to remain stealth though

You must do what you are comfortable with and what you feel is right under the circumstances, considering your concerns and what 'could' happen.

I wish you well xx

As far as I'm concerned, once post op then that person is a woman as both her mind and body at that point match each other so there is no possible reason for her to say she is anything other than a woman.

It's her choice whether or not to divulge that she was trans to anyone she meets depending on how she feels it would be taken by those hearing it.

I'd prefer to be told purely as I like knowing about a person and with the things I've learned, it really can be a matter of life and death in some countries.

If I hadn't read your posts on this thread OP I would not have had a clue about you and I like to think I would be able to spot a trans person, you've just proved I obviously can't

You've got one hell of a figure x

South Side.

Its entirely up to you, and your choice. I think it would be prudent to be cautious, as in some cultures it could be dangerous to reveal your situation.

As a woman I’d think you can post were ever you like just like the rest of us and as for disclosing that has to be your decision and yours alone.

Before a social I never disclose that I’m a fat ugly oink because you can see that from our profile and in looking at yours you look nothing but a woman so enjoy your new life as a woman.

Best of luck

T
