How's it going? I've been here for a week or so now and other than one person, everyone is ignoring my messages which is getting to be plain rude and I'm wondering how many people on here are real. I see a lot of "don't message me if you're not verified" yet I can get any responses from people so how exactly does one go about getting verified on here? Is that behind a paywall or something? It seems the ultimate catch 22, as if I'm a teenager again looking for a job with no experience.

Just go with the flow pal .. i’m in the same boat .. good thing about it ,at least it shows you haven't peppered it around half the site .. just be yourself don't force it .. it will happen when it happens i guess ..

A week is no time at all on fab. In fab time that's like ten seconds in real life ...

You can get verified in a couple of ways, by cam and by meeting in person. Nobody should verify you without seeing you in person or on cam it's against site rules to ask.

Nobody can arrange a meet through fab while lockdown is on anyway.

It's not a guarantee but if you join in the forum in a friendly way people will get to know you a bit.

It's not rude not to reply. Nobody owes you a response.

No reply means no interest.

You've only been here for a week. Be patient.

One reply out of twenty messages is rude. The polite response would be to say 'Hi, thanks for the message but you don't interest me. Have a nice day'. It's not difficult. Deleting 95% messages without a response is rude and indicates that recipients are illegit.

On Fab no reply means not interested. There are way more males than females on here. Some women can literally get hundreds of messages a day, many from men who haven't bothered to read their profile & don't remotely match what they are looking for, they are not obliged to reply to anyone.

Have you read the FAQs that I have you the link for? The following is a quote

There are too many rude people on here who don't reply to my messages!

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

We're having a party over on the allotments if your interested. Its winding down a bit but there's still a few stragglers like. We've got corned beef sandwiches and Busty brought her wee pony with her. It was grand!...

I reply to probably less than 5% of new messages. Does that mean I’m not real? I’m sure the people I’ve met will be glad to know they imagined me.
