Disappearing verifications

I created a couples profile for someone I used to see singly - she is now playing as a couple.

I sent a verification but it hasn't shown on her profile - why is that?

When I sent the verification the message on the screen says "We've saved the verification you left."

Where has it been saved???

If you have made the couples profile you will not be able to verify it

Taken from the FAQ at the bottom of every page

Verifications we try to leave for another user aren't being saved

If you're trying to verify another account that you have created yourself or you're trying to verify someone who is using the same PC as yourself, or you're on the same internet connection, then the verification won't be recorded. We do this to stop people creating fake accounts and verifying them themselves.
