the gym and random places

Query as to why the amount of fabs alter dramatically. One minute hundreds then lose overall hundred... not just on mine but several others

Because “fabs” can be given... and taken away.

Perhaps the person who gave the fab expected something in return which never materialised?

Are you looking at either hot photos or “Fab’d photos of mine”? Because hot photos shows the amount of Fabs in the last 12 hours, and your Fab’d photos shows the last 24 hours. So on those pages the amount will change all the time. You’ll only see the total Fabs on your (or someone else’s) photo page.

This. Also the "hot" pages only calculate periodically e.g. every 20 minutes or something.

How can giving a fab expect something in return? Its essentially a like button? You either like a pic or you don't... or am I missing something

So in that case, it’ll keep changing because if some of the Fabs were more than 12 hours ago, you won’t see them on that count. But if you went on the picture you’d see the total amount.
