Verification issues

I met someone off here not too long ago, apparently they are unable to verify me even though they already have verifications themselves. I'm aware that in order for me to verify someone I have to be verified first. Is there a issue with this feature?

If they are within your filters, meet verified and you haven't shared a web connection with them, they should be able to verify you
