Cant upload photos

I go to upload a pic ..go to choose file and there are none to choose from..I've got pics on here already but only 8 and I'm a gold member...any one help please

or videos - just get this message

"We didn't recognise the upload as a video. Check you're uploading an image and not a video or some other file"
