Blocked people being able to message

We have found recently that guys have been messaging us from profiles that I know that we have blocked, do blocks only stand for a while or is this a glitch? Anyone else having this problem?

Changing a username won't unblock someone

The blocks are normally permanent , are you sure it isn't a new user with a similar name?

If they delete there profile then set another account up with the same username then it is possible

They are all the original profile, it says on the top that we have spoken before. In future I'm going to put a note on the profile that we blocked them and the date.

When you receive a message from them what happens if you click on their profile name?

If we try to view a profile we have blocked we can’t. A message shows on the left hand side telling us we have blocked them and how long ago we did so. Therefore you shouldn’t need to put a note on it.

We don't use the desktop version only mobile so it isn't shown. If we click on their profile it just shows as normal and tells us on the top when we last spoke to them. A guy looked at us a few days ago that I know that we blocked,his verifications are back on show too and he's displaying ours. Another messaged, one profile has disappeared from our block list but he is still on site and blocked, we blocked him very recently so he hasn't gone off the page!! All very strange.

Notes are a great way to use fab . Saves wasting your time and theirs. I use it if anyone I've chatted to say they're not interested. It saves a lot of messing about for the sake of a quick note

I thought this the last few days I’ve had some messages of men who I’ve previously blocked.

We do this too if we’ve winked or messaged and there’s been no response. Seems a bit less harsh than blocking.
