Having conversations and then replies not getting read

Hi,

This scenario seems to happen quite often: I'm having a conversation with someone and reply to them and then they never read my message and it sits there saying unread even though they have been online since. It could be they are just choosing not to read my message or maybe the message is getting pushed down the page if they get a lot of them?

Just seems to happen even though they directly ask me something so I was wondering if it was a quirk of the system, or the person on the other end.

Up North

You can read the first line of a message without opening it and it being marked as read. I leave messages if I am not in a position to answer them.

Treat it like texting. I sometimes takes days to reply. Just because I am easily distracted and forget. Not being intentionally rude.

They're busy, just because I log in doesn't mean I jump to attention to answer messages, but if I'm into someone I'll get to it. Or maybe they've just lost interest.

It may well be that after thinking about it they have gone off you people do that. For me if someone gets aggressive or angry about things in general it puts me off.

On the new mailbox, you can read a previous message and the whole thread is there. So I can read the message you sent, but it still shows yellow as unread. Maybe they are doing that

Even us woman get messages unread or deleted, could be a number of reasons which is not worth thinking about

I pop something in their private notes so I remember then delete my out box and move on

Sitting watching your out box will just drive you mad

We quite often read the message, but a busy to reply, so we save it as new, to pick up later. Then life gets on the way and time pass. But creeps me when people actually keep checking that feature and make assumptions, most of the time totally wrong.

It happens to us all. If somebody stops chatting/ replying to your emails it means they no longer want to speak to you. If they wanted to chat they would look for your email in their inbox or mail you from your profile.
