Photo security issue??

I hope someone can help, I am very concerned about the privacy of my pictures. We have had somebody fab our photos which are set to private so friends can only view, yet this person is not a friend and never has been?

How is it possible for someone who is not in our friends list yet somehow has viewed and fab'd our private photos.

Please can somebody explain this ASAP as this is a serios breach of our personal privacy and the security of the site!

If ure concerned abt ure pix dont put them up.U can still have meets without pixtures.Sorry abt ure situation though

when you up-loaded them did you double check that it was set to freinds only not public?. just we have done this before then set them to freinds after

Glasgow - ish ;-)

Dont know for certain as we dissabled this function the day it was born.

But we believe, if a person fab's your pics, it shows on their fabbbed photo's, therefore vewable to any of their friends can view the pics they have fabbed, ergo showing your photos.

Fabbed photos are only viewable to the person thats fabbed it, not to anyone else or anyone on their friends list

If you look at a picture thats been fabbed on any profile it will only tell you how many times its been fabbed,it does'nt show you who has fabbed it unless its one of your own pictures on your own profile

Have you ever changed the privacy of the photo from public to private? You can see this behaviour if you had a photo set as public previously and that page was cached in a users browser.

If the photo is now private or friends-only the photo would not be accessible and the fab would not result in the photo being added to their fabbed photos page. Privacy is always respected. Try it from another account to check for yourself.

No we checked ans double checked all the settings of the photos before we posted, that was obviously the first thing we assumed! All the photo settings were deffinatly set correctly so onky viewable to friends, all our photos are uploaded this way. This is why we wanted to raise it a a serious concern.

one thing we noticed a while back when Fab'd was introduced was that pics set to Public can be viewed by anyone in the Recently Uploaded area of the site - even those who you have blocked from viewing yr profile...

therefore they could see yr new pics and Fab them

dont know if Admin took note of that when the issue was raised in the forum
