Why is the amount of characters you can type so limited for placing verifications?

I have seen some lengthy verifications written, but I always have to cut mine short?

Warrington & Glasgow

Are you using the mobile site?

Is it allowing you to enter your full verification and then truncating it when you click Verify?

I've just tried entering a veri on my phone and it allowed me to enter 20 to 30 lines. What phone are you using?

How long a veri are you trying to enter?

Hey, yes, using mobile phone. Huawei model.

It only allows a few lines, then the verify button disappears, forcing me to cut short the verification. This used to be the case with messages, until I realised you could press the attach photo button first, and it would lengthen the messaging field?

I've read a while back that when the button disappears if you rotate the phone to change the screen orientation and then rotate it back the button comed back. It was about lengthy messages but maybe would work for verifications too.
