Today when I log in to this site, I am having to complete a security code number. I wonder why this is so?

Thank you for replying. The security code seems to have disappeared now as I have just logged in. I did mail admin, however no reply yet. I know they take around 48 hours to get back, if at all. Still a worry though

Maybe it's a random thing.

Hopefully not as then it would be rather pointless I'd hope it based on patterns of known abusive ip's and other factors

I imagine it have more to do with security than abuse

Yes abusive ip's as in ones that are seen to create multiple accounts etc.. rather than physical/sexual abuse but not a random thing as was suggested
