Is there any way I can retrieve deleted messages?

Simple answer - no

If you accidentally delete and try immediately going back to the previous page, you *sometimes* can still see it , but other than that unfortunately not.

How do I delete message chain as I press ‘delete thread’ and when they email again the old messages are still there
