Profile pic disappearing

Does anyone have any ideas as to why my profile pic deletes itself every few hours? TIA

Could be one of several reasons such as the content of the pic being against the site rules, the profile user not in the picture, showing faces of others in the picture, being a cartoon/graphic rather than a photo.
