Somebody has disappeared

West Bromwich

I have been communicating with someone and they seem to have dropped off the face of the earth. All of the messages sent and received to and from them have also gone but I haven’t done anything. They have gone from my friends list and I see that their verifications to others have also gone. Have they just deleted their account? Is that what happens
