Okay...bored now of having to explain to users from Derby, Nottingham and blah blah that I do NOT live in the East Midlands as the owners of this site would have people believe. Colchester is 86 miles from Lincoln (East Midlands) and Colchester is also only 8 miles from the Essex coast (Clue, midlands is in the middle..mid-lands...get it?)

We are in the South Eastern region of the UK in an area known as East Anglia.

I know you are very busy blocking all those naughty timewasters and fake profiles...and I am sure sorting through all those single men pretending to be couples also keep you very very busy...but for my sanity...PLEASE put it right!!

I have found a little bit of info on that funny interwebnetthingy that might help you...some long words in there..

Love Hungry.

Colchester, ESSEX = SOUTH EAST!!!

The East Midlands

The East Midlands is one of the regions ofEngland and is the eastern half of the Midlands.

The counties of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and most of Lincolnshire belong to this region.

Although there is no precise definition, the Midlands, if defined as being made up of the regions of East Midlands and West Midlands, includes the counties of Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire(not including its boroughs of North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire), Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlandsmetropolitan boroughs. If not following the official regional boundaries, the Midlands might be said to also include Peterborough(historically part of Northamptonshire), and the aforementioned boroughs of Lincolnshire. Additionally, there exists an informal region known as the South Midlands which could be defined to include Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
